Wolfram Schneider
FreeBSD developer since 1996, OpenStreetMap contributor since 2011.
BSD
I have made more than 3,000 commits to the FreeBSD src, doc and ports repositories. As a member of the www.FreeBSD.org webmaster team, I help keep the FreeBSD web sites running – web server configuration, CGI scripts and the mailing list archive. I also maintain the FreeBSD Manual Pages Archive – the largest and oldest collection of manual pages on the internet.
OpenStreetMap
My main service for the OpenStreetMap community is the BBBike extracts service: it lets you cut out any area from planet.osm and download it in OSM, PBF, Garmin, OsmAnd, Mapsforge, MBTiles, PMTiles, GeoJSON, GeoPackage, SVG or Esri Shapefile format.
Other services: BBBike Routing, Map Compare, Tagname Search
Libraries
I studied computer science at the Technische Universität Berlin. As part of my diploma thesis, I wrote ZACK Gateway, a federated search engine for German university libraries, used for copy cataloging – finding existing catalog records in other library catalogs instead of creating them from scratch.
